Shopping for newborn props can be pricey, as well as addictive! Also, there are times when I have found something gorgeous, spent a fortune on it, only to find it’s already in use by someone else. l like the idea of having something no one else has.
So, I decided to try this idea. I popped to my local charity shop and looked at knitwear. l chose items with sleeves that would stretch to cover a teeny head, and that I liked the colour of, and then got home and washed them in non bio.
Here is a tutorial on how I made my first one!
Ok, so here is the sleeve of the jumper I chose.

Then l cut it off, allowing enough to fold in the top and stitch.

l then turned the seam so is was down the back, rather than at either side.

Then l turned it inside out, and stitched the top together. I’m not that neat with sewing!

Having then turned it back the right way, l used strips of fabric cut from another item to create ears, by tying them tightly around the corners.

Then I took two circles of material, scrunched them a little, and stitched them on to look like flowers.

And here it is, cute eh!
